no not sure what went on there.. all of the 707s are sub-£20 (well except for the AWACS) and the Airforce 1 and Vc137 cheaper again...

Dunno, never saw BOAC cheap. and Qantas isn't plentiful. Dan Dare should go same way. Still think TWA one of the best. And shame CathPac never got past the starting post.
Think Braniff worst offender here. should have been 1000-1500 of each color! Can't have been that difficult to change main color midcycle. Rest of painting same for each model.

I was trying to source a BOAC 707 for a guy at work but the fella that sold me mine said he could sell 'em for 45 pounds on the bay any day so the work guy passed on that one, same story for the Qantas which was a give away last year (BOGOF at some wholesalers ) but not any more, maybe JT Qantas ambassador tour helped sell a few more. Have also heard of high prices for Lancastrians not much less that 100 notes   on the e-bay interweb thingy which i find well excessive. Good job all mine are sitting in cabinets behind me ;) ;) , may be worth even more if I dusted them ... :D :D

Yeah Qantas and BOAC are the 2 expensive ones, although did get a BOAC one cheap before christmas.. likewise I picked-up the Qantas for £20 incl postage before Christmas but normally they seem to go for more - just got lucky - for once!! :D Agree ref the Braniff - at least a couple of colours would've been nice.. only real duffer is the Commonwealth Games one! although I believe that Agent is a fan ?? :D

Commonwealth is only 1600 so well limited. I think it might take a while, but will be sought after in the future. Good to hear you got BOAC and Qantas. As Diecaster says not so easy now as quite ltd. @1900 and 1800 respectively.
Pan am 5000. But note in future only dragon doing PanAm due to copyright.
This might be why price is on the up? ATB :)

If the Commonwealth one is worth money, I will give up.... only cos I saw a dealer with stacks of them at a fiver each.. crazeee..
Yep BOAC one held its price.. Quantas I think is the best and if I see another one for under a score will have it as a spare...
The Pan Am one will be worth money one day as. well to me it is a sixties icon..

All those 707s you mention are my work and glad to see they're doing well.
Commonwealth Games... nothing to do with it and warned Corgi against this. However, £5 is a bargain for the paint-stripper, repaint and some nice decals from this classic range: http://www.f-dcal.com/
and guess what scheme you could do one in with these decals.....

Should've had that one eis' only 1300 produced. That's less than most commissions. Only 3 civil scheme airliners under 1500 produced are Cunard Eagle britannia @ 1300, Boac polished comet @1300 and the Capital viscount.
Other non-comm' models less than 1500 are the SEAC Libbie @1200 and the 20th usaf DC3 @1400. Any of these have to sure bets. and the Dak still cheap at 10-15 notes. And all nice models to boot. No g(r)ay spitfires here:D

Looks like i got lucky with the 20th USAF DC-3 then as it was only £8 mib from same guy selling the Capital Viscount and i hadn't realised it was such a limited run. It is only the second DC-3 in my collection after having picked up the RAE DC-3 which was also £8 from the last NEC toyfair. Both models are really  and i can see me adding a few more Dak's as this is a nice casting.
As for the Capital Viscount for £12, with hindsight i think you may well be right.

Hello all, I am fairly new to the forum and this is my first entry on a thread although I have been collecting Corgi AA's since 1998. My collection is nearly all civil.
Anyway I am now the proud owner of a Capital Viscount having bought it on ebay this evening for £40.50. Now have 13 Viscounts in total and don't think I want any more unless Corgi release something new.
This forum is great and has certainly given me some insights into the magical world of AA's.

Albert,
A blue tail! Sounds like it could be the BOAC Viscount 701
(G-AMOG/Scottish Prince?) which was mentioned way back in 2001.
;)
Corgi tend to plan a model, knock it on the head, only for it to
appear years later using their earlier research.
Should look good with polished wings and would follow theme
of the last civies done (BOAC Comet and Britannia).
:)
Hope this time Corgi don't lose their bottle!
