couple of programmes coming up for you to make a note off
sat jan 15th C4 8pm-10pm programme about bombing,from both sides,with interviews of crews
sun jan 16th C4 5pm-6pm Time Team investigate the collision of 2 american bombers,they have done this before,but this is a new series.

I believe Time Team this time around are investigating two B26 Marauders which collided soon after take-off at Burtonwood in Lancs.
Should be interesting, although sometimes the TT format/presenters irritate me immensely..... :mad:

this sort of archeology is not their bag really IMHO ,i remember the one about the 2 b-17s,and the wreck recovery group thought they weere taking a terribly long time to get on with it where as they just wanted to yank the stuff out, the one about the paul klipsh spitfire was good though

UK TV History on Sunday, repeated Monday are showing the Decisive Weapons series again.
Includes the P51; Hurricane; Harrier and Stealth; also the T34 Tank...

I found the B-26 Time Team episode to be pretty good, although the timescale was a little too tight, it'd have been nice to see an entire aircraft excavated, but it was impossible in that length of time. shame really.
