Yep sure is. I've still got the other one to build, but they were used for refuelling heavies rather than fighters. It's a very nice little kit considering it's Airfix, one of their better offerings! ;)

The Dragon models do make beter pieces for this sort of thing... Canopy open and No pilot! The Corgi one just doesn't look quite right...still good tho!!! :)

your very right there, one of dragons good points over corgi that,as you say looks better in a diorama. I have had my fill of corgi p-47s but the dragon one is nice scheme with nice artwork on the side, much better than any of corgis latest in this range IMHO

The figures are from the bulk standard Airfix set. I only used two ground crew, as there was normally only two people assigned to look after the aeroplane on the ground. Mastery Minitures do some very nice white metal BoB figure sets called "RAF on Patrol" which are used by Diverse Images for their pewter 1/72 range of models.
I used the MM "Luftwaffe on Patol" set on my Fw190D-9 diorama and was very pleased with the result.
I felt the Bedford QL bowser set the Polish Spitfire diorama off nicely, but yes using Corgi models is a little difficult with the pilot sitting in the plane, and no opening canopy it's not entirely convincing! I much prefer Dragon models as you have more options, and the results are much better.

Got it sorted just a minute ago, the new XP SP2 popup blocker was causing a conflict. I uploaded these images using Snappers machine which is no problem as I have them setup on a network anyway.
I'm really pleased with the T-Bolt, a really first class Dragon model, though the dark colour scheme made it quite difficult to photograph! :)

I believe so. Raff told me that a bunch of his company Yanks took him out to a pub in New Jersey which boasted they had every beer from every corner of the world. Putting this to the test, Raff ordered a Spitfire, knowing full well they'd come up empty-handed. Seems they did have it, and on ice, too. :D

Couldn't agree more old boy, but I don't like my ale warm though!
Talking of beverages, my favorite was the first time I went to Chicago, our friends thought that as we are English but must LOVE tea, and drink it all day! Well they thought you boil the tea bags in a kettle on the stove, and just boil it again when you want more, the concept of a teapot as passed them by, talk about stewed tea ARGHHHHH!
Needless to say we stuck to coffee for the duration of our holiday, which didn't bother me as I'm a hardened coffee drinker anyway. I don't like instant, just the hard stuff these days! :D Maybe that's why many of my posts are at two in the morning!

Agree not warm.. room temperature will do... that kettle bit, they are may that do that if they have the likes of an aga.. stick some tea bags in a pot and leave it there... good for fence protection.... but what was even better - Boston (USA) - Earl Grey... who...??. :D
But no no to ice... mind you more and more pubs are selling the likes of severely chilled Tetley ( as in beer not tea) but thats the sterile chemical pis* Tetley as against the real stuff.... Real beer getting harder to find... :(

It was 37 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (-37C) in Brainerd, Minnesnowta, the other night. They drink Snowshoes (50/50 peppermint schnapps & brandy) to keep moving..... :D

Cool Mustang, looks great in both poses. And the Fw is looking sharp, with the Kubel and all.
Where's me freakin' tea, Mr. Host?
Or I can speak in the vernacular: "I'd like a spot of tea, Mr. PJ, host of this thread!"
Share a pint (o'T) with a mate! Farge the bath water! Taint Saturday!
...waits, grumpily...
