Popped into EMA today. had to leave early as heat a bit oppressive, and pics affected to much by heat haze.

So just a couple.

Nice to see a civil herk.

EMA is a beggar coz you are shooting into the sun, so colors/contrast is pants.

Not that I'm tempted in any way :o but I was just noticing, orange aside, how well the model depicts the real thing and not a panel trench in sight...

But what's with the difference in undercracker doors between the two? (Spam knowledge minimal)

The difference between the doors is that they open to let the undercarriage retract which is just about to happen on Aviactions picture... The main doors stay closed at other times... stops all the sh - one - t getting in.... bit like a P51 where the main doors stay closed (when the engine is running) even with the undercart down.

Somewhere on the civvies you have to 'draw the line' as to how you depict a plane.. be nice if the doors did open and the flaps worked etc etc.. but then you would be hard pushed to see its a model..!!

It is interesting just how civvies do compare with the real thing.. something you just couldn't do with the military stuff...

Can see how weaker peeps could get lured over across :D... We have all the time in the world... eventually the fools tire of the green grey and brown releases and get lured down the colourful path that is the spam can or toothpaste tube of life...

Matron..... medication....

I was camping up at Donington Park a few weeks ago and it would appear the camp site is RIGHT on the end of East Midlands runway! It's hard to sleep with freight going out until 2 or 3 in the morning.

Saw that Antonov depart on the friday and sunday, plus another An-124 (from Volga I think - dark blue trim) on the monday morning.

Was up there for a festival but still managed to do some plane spotting! This was the Antonov departing on sunday evening.
