I must have missed something with these  I could have sworn they were 1:72 scale but i see them on ebay and the seller is claiming 1:144? They certainly look that!!! More of Corgis funds spent on 'Toys'

There are in fact two types; the cheap and nasty 1/144th one's which are about $8.00 and the much better 1/72nd one's....

Thet were in M/Z the other day. Looked OK for the price but not my cup of tea! They are the 'Showcase' models though.

As far as I know all the proper releases are 1:72, yes, including the B-17 and a B-24! That's going to be a big chunk of metal, the box will have to be huge!

I saw the display in MZ last weekend, too.
Certainly cheap, but I have to say I wasn't tempted..... Imaginative idea, though.

;) At long last had a look at a piece of th 'Nose' Art handiwork. Have to say Mrs Bonnie is the biz. and if standard maintained then the others will hopefully not disappoint!!.......... :)

Picked up Mrs Bonnie at the Donny Fair, for a very nice price :)
The box artwork is excellent and the actual nose art panel is far bigger than I expected and is diecast. The actual model itself is stunning. You'll be pleased to know that these models do carry CERTIFICATES!!! :) :) There is also a name card included with the plane details. Limited edition is 2700 worldwide.
My only gripe is the nose art on the actual plane and the illustration of the panel on the box do not match up with the panel itself. On the plane and illustration, on the box lid, the plane's serial number and details is BELOW the Japanese 'kill' markings, on the panel you get the serial nimber etc is ABOVE the Japanese kills!!!
All in all thopugh, well done Corgi. Well presented and a very nice departure from the normal stuff. Will definitely be buyiong more in this collection :)

I was nearly tempted by the Aussie Lancaster in M/Z. The model is tiny ( 1/300th ? ) but the nose-art panel display looked quite good.
I'll stick to the real models, though......
