Some problems with the DC8 IMHO were, no hole for a stand, no stand anyway  and undercarriage hell bent on retracting when you need that to be down and support said model. This probably explains why they have only produced two to date out of the original handful featured in the Corgi catalogue when the old relationship was going.
The 737s look nice but could well be heavy on the wallet, the hercs don't look the bizz as again IMHO Corgi Hercs are bigger and better and won't rotate in circles if you accidentally brush past them and they got caught by your vortices (Just a theory)... :D  Was also a bit disappointed with me tail heavy RAF C-17 still at least stuffing it on a stand sorted that out, I suppose for a tenner I should not whinge too much.
Most of the Gemini 1/400s now being sold at much more sensible prices but anyone heard of any price adjusting on the 1/250 stuff, if they still expect nearly £50 notes then I'll be giving them a very wide birth.

Got both the DC8s. Normally circa £50 which is reasonable compared with similar 1/200th at £100+. Paid £25 for Delta and £30 for United. Both new from NEC. Gemini had production problems with Delta (1st release). Undercart breaking etc. Now produced by a different factory. Mine are Ok though even though 1st issue. Apparently only 1000 produced of each. What bothers me is what price I'm going to have to pay for future releases of 737, MD80, VC10?
Still would have preferred 144th corgi DC8, but that just isn't going to happen. Only mentioned herk as I wish corgi would do Belgian Anniversary.

This 250 thing appears to be improving. With recent price alterations due to a favorable $£ exchange rate the DC8 is £39.99, and better still the new Boeing 737 due anytime will be £29.99. Roll 'em in! :) in fact very :)
Sorry Albert but all I can say now is **** Corgi. They've missed the boat.

On the GJ web site they have an 1/250 AeroMexico DC-8 coming soon.
http://www.geminijets.com/frontpage/250-1.jpg
Also they will soon be launching a new range of 1/200 plastic models and also another range of the 1/400s the same as the current one but produced in lower numbers of 500.

Thanx plum* that must have appeared overnight.
That aeromexico dc8 in 250th looks great. :)
BUT what a damn mess this is getting to. Just decided on 250th, as thats where they say they're going, then in a complete contradiction they introduce 1/200 placky models to replace starjets. Gemini as bad a Corgi!!
Really annoyed again
And how the heck are they getting a 'chrome' finish on the eastern. Will it last?

G/B It's an obvious choice to re-launch the StarJets that didn't sell well, under the Gemini name. Glad they are doing the B757 the best of the StarJets bunch IMHO, never went for the Airbusues they did, now if they were to do some B707s, DC8s ...I'd still have no room. :D

Just seen on gemini site, new 250th DC8-55F? in (old colors) United airlines.
thats now four DC8s, 737's and an MD80.
Yes! Inflight are nice Agent, but the 'LE' ones would be what I want but 707,727 and 737 at @129notes. and 747 at around £139. Bit more than I'd wnat to pay. Think Gemini 200th worth watching as appear to be starjets mould? Gonna have to keep to placky on the larger types.
Problem now is shifting larger corgis to pay for em.
