Just realised after seeing Carlos's avatar,Al Deere wasn't here,one of my all time heroes.Nine lives was one of the first aviation books I read.
Wished I could have met him.Nearest I got was finding myself standing next to him at an airshow at North Weald,but as usual in those situations, couldnt think of anything to say and then he was gone.
