What about the Northwest Corgi Boeing 377 Stratocruiser ?.
Still, should not have changed name from Northwest Orient. One of my favorites when I'm spotting.

Regret I vowed not to get hooked on these, but prices from USA & Canada are much cheaper than from UK dealers, so I.....just...can't.....resist!!! However, I have restricted myself to only those airliners that served pre-1970 and those that visited the UK. Not too many out there in those categories, so haven't quite gone bust yet! Standards seem to vary with Dragon models - don't like their Super Connie. Gemini Jets and Aeroclassics are the best. :) Shame no one has done KLM Electra yet

You're quite right, Goony, I forgot about the Corgi 1/144 Northwest Orient Airlines B-377 Stratocruiser. Must be getting senile from the lack of civil releases..... :D It's easily my favorite Strat and I'd love to see Corgi do more aircraft in that livery, such as the DC-3, a Connie (presupposing Corgi eventually does a 1049E), and the 707. Northwest's 707s carried several liveries, one of which you see here. Another easy one for Corgi to consider. ;)

Albert,

How cheap is very cheap, your (our) Corgi man prices are probably amongst the cheapest I can find anywhere although I have never bought a d/c via the web (yet) . I've Just been quoted £18 for the DW C-5B, bit miffed as I paid £23 for mine  Also have just looked closely at the E-4B this is also VERY nice and even though the wings are not metal they do appear to be rigid, reckon one may be landing at Corgiworld before too long

Most Aeroclassics & Gemini Jets 1/400 models from the States are $24.99(£11.53) on e.bay but some UK traders sell them at £24.99 GBP !!! That's about £10 more. Even with shipping costs $8-10(£4-5) they still work out cheaper

Yes Bob, don't think we have a problem with Northwest so a DC-3, Super Connie and Boeing 707 are all possibilities, but getting ANY airliners done is a struggle for me! :o

pound dollar parity... bloomin wonderful... why buy something from a UK dealer when I can get it for the same money or less from a US one..?. I wonder if they have noticed just how many retailers are left in the UK that sell AA's... :( that is their problem in a nutshell.... they then have to dump with the wholesalers.. :D

Is that because you had a hand in the KLM Viscount? (very nice it is too)

The Corgi AA KLM Viscount was indeed one of mine, as I like doing stuff I used to see during my spotting days at Heathrow. KLM Electra was another of them, but no chance to get Corgi to do an Electra, so Aeroclassics and Gemini Jets are the only way to go! The only Electras operated in Europe during the '60s were KLM - hence an important subject to do!

Even less I suppose a Vanguard... :)
