:D Hi Chaps, let's have at look at tackling them Guns First then :) ;)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6274.jpg
Right then if you look back at the last image on part one you will notce at the side of our subject we have the Corgi Legends Brian Lane Spitfire i've just put a black prop on it! anyway in front of that is a cocktail stick that has been clearly marked with a marker pen the position of the centre's for each Machine Gun Port, marking this stick whilst tapped to Lane Spit will give greater accuricey when it is offerd up against our subject :D ;) see the ilustration
  :( Ohhhhh! This little mod is becoming an obsession! :( Is it me,! just logged back on because has anyone ???????.Noticed! on our little subjets upper wing surface! the B Type Roundal's, :( Are wrong! for two reasons A) Banding Width. B) Colour. the blue is the shade! and the red centre is to small.. Ahhhhhhh!!!!! :(
:D Good Evening Gentlemen, panick over think i've realised what it is about them type B's, :( :( it first dawned upon me last night while i was editing the post! was looking at the very first, sorry second picture of the subject as a standard release, and the picture very much reminds me to look at funny enough of my Parkzone MK-I,Remote Control Spitfire! :) now if your familier with this Model you will know what i mean! so looking at the picture then! and thought straight away :( Oh,No! the roundals are wrong!!! Panick! the more i looked at the( FLASH :) photo image that has already bleached the colour of the roundal's, now they do look pretty blue on the photo's :o ) the worse it got, now i've been comparing them all day and am now of the opinion that in real life and broad daylight yes they are darker than on the pic's cause of the flash! BUT they are lighter than any other when compared to, even Corgi release's, show a differance so realy they have to go! its bad enough them being the wrong colour but they are oversized as well (it works out for an instance! Cornbi, have used 59'inch instead of 54'inch. you can also see this on the Spit as the roundals overlap the aileron, not:cool so the end result is yes we can replace them with proper roundals of the exact same size and cover them up! but that still means they are wrong. due to the overall size So we can now establish thanks to Ed. and Minter :) ;) that not only are the letter's on the Aircraft the wrong way round the spinner wrong colour. we now have the wrong size rounals  :D :) ;) Come on! Corgi :(
:) Well then Chaps with that little matter cleared up! time to press on, how did we get on with them Gun Ports :)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6349.jpg
:) Hmm! not to bad, not perfecct! but we have achieved our desired effect ;) and still have plenty of tape left! :D ;) However,!. we could still improve on this some more as in i mean having achieved the red dope effect on the subjects wings the next step would be to enhance the effect! by taking a very small Drill and drill them out  not easey on a Hurricane :D done it! phew! ;) but the Spit has a flatter leading edge, and your positioning is much further spread,;) or we could use, and for this point we must take upon the sound advice from our member Sailor. Many thanks Sir! and use Decals as Sailor states, a lot easey'er and quicker! for the same effect sound advice thankyou Sir, :) ;) another quicker option for the effect of a Hole in the dope would be a simple dot of black paint! The maximun effect, would be to :D to use the cocktail stick as your marker mark the subjects wings with it and then Drill them out and next step use the sound advise from Sailor apply decals for your dope covering let them dry over the hole's, then pierce them with the cocktail stick!:) Excellent :D that would look good, :cool thankyou Sailor.;)
:) Ok then while we have a our subject flipped over we can now take a look at the Cockpit, and the removal of it because again a lot has to said for the paint job on this release, much to its credit all though! let down by the final markings :( shame realy! :)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6310.jpg
:) I Say Old,Boy! "should'nt miss Jerry with that Gunsight.!" thanks Airfix MK-I kit. "No old, been! its like a ruddy! dustbin lid,"  :D
:) Returning back to the point of removal of the canopy, again adding favour, in the finish of the paint on our subject, i will have to say the fitting and finish from production on its cockpit canopy realy does put some of the Corgi release's to shame! :) ok then first a simple rocking motion of the Canopy from side to side had no effect at all :( next slip a blade under from several points and applying pressure to pop it off had no effect! :( now with all intense purposes as in any project i always try and remove the parts without damage but look back to section one and you will clearly see the damaged canopy next to our subject ;) i had no choice but to resort to brute force in its removal  but remember (3+) not ment to come apart! so after having to use this method we are then left with a small amount of preping and cleaning the cockpit area now all this was achieved with out causing any further damage, once you have cleaned the area you can then fit your replacement Canopy again as on mine a very small amount of preping was involved in its fitting, whilst at this stage if you wish, you can repaint the inside cockpit colour if you so wish (I,did'nt) was happy to leave it, then fit the pilot figure into the cockpit and carry out any further mods if you wish :) i did get the Gunsight to fit, but this meant i could'nt get the Yoke in :( but still them Corgi pits are small.:)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6327.jpg
:) Ok then, so once you are happy with the cockpit and pilot, with any other mods carried out you can fit and glue the replacement Canopy into place.:cool
:) Now then, we need now to see how else we can make any further improvements :D on our subject for the next step, having completed the Canopy we will need to flip our subject over once more :D
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6278.jpg
:D :) ;)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6291.jpg
:) Well as we can see further use of Decals has made a big improvement to underside of our subject :) and with the addition of service labels all be it some not put into exact location has only improved the finish :) evem more with the Pitot tube and jockey wheel the final items to fit we can then finish off the under side of our subject. :D :cool
:) Ok,then with the underside surface completed lets now turn our subject. and address the matter of them type B's, and also what further applications we can make to give us a more authentic finish! :D
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6357.jpg
:) Must say Chaps! thinks she's looking Good! :) ;)
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/davidte2007/DSCF6360.jpg
:) while we have reached the stage in sucessfuly enhancing our subject with the use of decals :D i thought it would be a great idea to add to this with marking the Aircrafts fuselage with the victories credited to Pilot, Bill.(Poppy) Dunn. What could be more fitting to its History :) :cool ;) I've, also added but at its time i do believe was against the rules of the Air Ministery policies, and took the liberty and added Bill's, initials under his Victories.:cool ;)

:) Nice Touch Hey :)
:( Well Chaps thanks for sticking with it, but i'm affraid we now need to continue with Part 3. :)
