View Full Version : My Winter Luftwaffe Fighters

The Luftwaffe employed a variety of often improvised winter schemes so their fighters could blend in better with the snowy Russian and Finnish landscapes. Some of these are replicated in diecast renditions by Corgi, Dragon, Gemini and Easy Model, as shown in the picture below. A few are my own repaints, of course, and I've added weathering in most cases. Also, I've taken Corgi's interpretation of Heinrich Sterr's "Yellow 2" and lightened the gray blotches on the model so they look like a more realistic dirty white.

Great theme you have going there :)
Personally though I've always been just a tad wary when it comes to dirty snow :D
