Well it would bring some humour into it... I mean at £139.99 RRP you wouldnt find it amusing...
The funny bit is that in years to come the plane would be worth £15, the V1 - a tenner, but the Mrs Mint figurine - £250.00...

There were some in the very early days of F8 operations.

'VZ467, exported to Australia in the summer of 2001 (1:1 Scale) was in camouflage when it left the UK - looked bootiful. The Australians repainted it silver. Looks just as bootiful.
To answer the question geee whiz, yes, I can see that sat on my desk....

Could be a 'Working model' with V1 sound Effects!!!!
Hi,
That is an excellent looking model, can you tell me who it is made by? I would really like to make that myself! Maybe a nice RAE one, in the red white and blue scheme.
Thanks

Just as an aside here, doing a 'compare and contrast' on my 1 Sqn and RAuxAF Meteors, the engine intakes seem to be larger on the 1 Sqn machine - not sure if this is Corgi modelling a modification or having a change of heart on the profile. Have to say the RAuxAF intake style looks closer to the real thing I used to walk past on the way to work. Uncle Albert?
I see Agent’s point about panel lines, makes them look a little ‘Matchbox’. However, don’t think it will be so noticeable on the camouflaged one and they still look PDG
Full marks to Corgi for making a relatively obscure early jet (in the grand scheme of things) and not jumping on the F-16/F-18/F-15 bandwagon

These panel lines obviously seem to be a problem for some models/manufacturers and to me the likes of the Mig 15 and Meteors are a little on the very heavy side and certainly on the latter ruins what was one of the sleekest of new types from the late forties... It certainly would not have won any speed records like that... At this stage in the game these models should be better from the number ___ manufacturer (insert as applicable)
To me the Meteor and the Me262 are of the same ilk... I hope Willys offering will be .. 'smooth' and that the BOAC version is the next club model...
.. more water matron...

BOAC version of the Me 262... :D Bound to happen...
Actually fondled a No 1 Sqn..Meteor today.. panelling was not as pronounced as some of the photos.. but what is galling is the strap on nose and tail plane.. looked like Jacques with one of his false noses... also intakes look far too large which is what Maple was stating...
Nice stainless steel aerial though..... :D
