Hi ,

Please Corgi give us 1/32 :

Focke Wulf 190 Dora (long nose) JV-44 Papageistaffel for example

Hawker Typhoon with rockets and D-day Stripe

Dornier Do 335 Pfeil, very original airplanes (I don't think it will be done in the future..)

Junkers JU-88 Night Fighter

Henschel Hs 129 Panzerjäger (same remark than the dornier)

Sorry....any new toolings should first be in 1/72....only limited market for 1/32 due to size....Hurricane will be next (he confidently predicts  )

warbirdguru

1. North American P-51B
2. F-86 Sabre
3. Fw 190 long nose
4. TF-104 Starfighter
5. Hawker Hurricane

12. Mitsubishi Zero :D

I am not so sure Corgi try and link these together as part of their marketing strategy. You have only got to look at the comments to see most people won't have more than say six 1/32nd models unless they either have:

a. A mansion with a huge 'study' or 'den'
b. An enormous easily accessible loft so the models can be 'rotated'
c. A very understanding partner!

A 1/32 scale Lancaster bomber would really put Corgi's pretenders back in their places.
Memo to self.... Start converting the basement into an airfield 'somewhere in Lincolnshire'.

probably bankcrupt them as well

That's not true , I have :

1 Mosquito
3 Mustangs 1/32 (the number 4 is on his way)
3 Mustangs 1/35 GMP
3 Spitfires
I will receive shortly 2 ME 109 (thank's Flying Mules)
2 Me 109 are preordered

and I don't have :

a. A mansion with a huge 'study' or 'den'
b. An enormous easily accessible loft so the models can be 'rotated'
c. A very understanding partner, in fact she understand until we receive
the bill of the Credit Card Her  Me

Isn't it strange this international sisterhood of wives/sweethearts/girlfriends? :p
Did they really entertain the ludicrous idea that once they owned us they could change us? :p
No wonder they'll never achieve world domination! :(

What could be simpler, must I do all the thinking round here?
Obligatory CAA bit... the size of the playing arena is based on the turning circle of a 1/32 scale Hurricane Mark II.

Can't find the original thread on 1/32nd Chipmunks, but in Air Pic today an advert for a well known Heathrow Hotel supplier shows PPL models in 1/36 for Piper PA28s in diecast. Good news is they are releasing 3x Chipmunks in RAF Silver/Yellow. Gre(a)y and Orange. and classic Red and White. Bit pricey though at £249.50! each! :)

I would really like the "Dooleybird" mustang in 1/32, or any other RAF 1/32 Mustang for that matter. What're the chances? I want to buy some more to compliment the Spit (and Mosquito when I get it).

Craig
6th March 2005, 22:23
As for new stuff I'd like to see a jey. A Lightning or a hunter are the obvious choices for me. From my own point of view I'd like a Jag, but I'm not sure it'd be so good from a marketing point of view!

minter
7th March 2005, 08:50

Agreed G-Force - I'd love to see an RAF Mustang in 1/32. I've got Old Crow and BBD and I'm trying to resist buying any more, but I'd have to make an exception for an RAF version.

As for new castings, if we can't have a Typhoon, I'd go for the P-47 and the F-86.

After seeing that Meteor I'm all for that! that's cool! Bit unusual too, make a nice model with removable cowlings etc

Would settle for a 1/72 Meteor in that scheme.
1/32 Meteor would be amazing.

yeah thats the 1/72 meteor i would be tempted to buy
