Anybody got one of the Dragon Saturn Vs? Airspotters are due to get a 40th anniversary Apollo 13 edition in. Are they worth a punt?:)
And how tall are they:D

Not sure on size, but I'd like one of these myself. Already have Dragon's 1/400 747/Shuttle combo, very :cool

Actually, just checked on the Mule, say's 11", decent size for a 1/400th.

I did have one a few years ago I think it is about a foot tall my version was able to be separated into the various modules.
For me it was too small to convey the might of the real thing so it was sold on.:)

Here you go, have a look at these. I've included my 1/72 Corgi Lancaster as a size comparison and also used a steel rule to give you some idea. I bought mine in 2006 and it cost me £29.95 back then. I think this was the second Saturn V that Dragon produced. There isn't a LEM with it and some of the detail could be better.
Please excuse the average photo's........

Cheers WCP - nice photos and useful. It looks quite good but at the price I think I'll go the extra and save up for the recent plastic reissues:)

I am a huge fan of the Apollo space program (being an employee of NASA at one point in my career...;) ) and the Saturn V rocket is a favorite item in my collection as well. I am sure you all are aware that there are currently two very impressive, and huge scaled - Saturn V models that are coming out this year! You guys may want to consider one of these for your collection if "money is no object"? :p :D ;)

These models are great. I'm inspired to get a Saturn model as I'm currently part-way through a second book on the Apollo programme... that rocket had between 5 & 6 million parts (no-one actually knew the exact figure). They figured on a 99.9% reliability rate - that's still over 5,000 faults per mission in theory - getting to the moon was really an achievement.
Happily Dragon are bringing out a new range of NASA subjects later this year:

I have the 1:400 CanDo version (which is a branch of Dragon anyway) - I got a LEM but no command module without the escape tower shroud :(
The detail on the CanDo version looks to be better than the one in your photos tho.
