In this book on the Constellation this photo appears on page 28. The caption reads:

"The close confines of the Model 049 Constellation cockpit can be seen clearly in this photo. The center pedestal contains the throttles, flap controls, and the elevator trim wheel. Both pilots have complete flight instrumentation." (Pan Am)

The crewmember of interest is the radio operator in the left foreground.
Now, for £1,000,000, name that face! ;)

Agent wins the £million!

The visage we see is the face of none other than Clive Kilocycle-Hertz, the official Corgi radio operator. This fellow really gets around.

This contest was somewhat unfair to those who don't collect civils, Corgi catalogs, or Corgi Flight Recorders. If you aren't of any of these three, you don't really count. (tin hat time...... :eek: )

Agent, you can send an invoice to Corgi for the £££. :D

well spotted!! for some reason I'd always imagined he was a ground based radio operator.. no sure which is worse, You remembering his face or me giving him a life?!! :D :D

Supposedly so, but it would appear to be repaints of existing molds not new toolings... so whether that will fire the enthusiasms of the general masses...

Thing is if it does not then the hard core will sit and wait for them to hit the dump bins.. Corgi really have shafted their own distribution channels... :D

Well then another million is up for grabs here... such is the generation of Lofty Agent Enterprises Inc.. (as soon as we get the million of Ol' Bob, we will gladly pass on the prize money assuming that we do receive a correct entry...).. However Lofty Agent Enterprises have appointed themselves as judges for this competition and as ever the judges decision is final...

RULES

As the prize money is a million, we must insist on an entry fee of one CHC Mossie... compltete with packaging etc etc..

Please forward the Mossie to Lofty Towers, South Coast AA Mansions UK (where said Mossie will be resprayed black and sold on as a Night Fighter to them unsuspecting Yankees..)

Anyway.. the COMPETITION....

The last Diecast Aviation Forum Moderators Convention was well supported and such was their generosity they donated a picture for the Lofty Agent 2005 calendar


All you have do do is to put the names to the legs..... Its as simple as the Lottery...
