A member of 825 Squadron commanded by Eugene Esmonde, he took part in the first attack against Bismark. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/military-obituaries/naval-obituaries/7720761/Lt-Cdr-Bobby-Lawson.html)The obituary claims that he managed to hit Bismark but the one hit in that attack is more usually credited to Percy Gick.
