On the back of the picture card it states RR299 was built as a trainer and was displayed at airshows and made its debut in the film Mosquito Squadron.

I thought i'd seen that picture somewhere.
Do you have the complete set of cards?as they look great in a frame.

I wish i had,i only have 2 cards,they belonged to my late fathers mate who flew mossies and hurricanes in the war. :(

Go to the Bay or to the card sellers... its not that difficult .. and not that expensive, especially on a fairly recent set (which this must be..) .. if its that expensive, then the replica bods will be knocking them out... (actually prefer the replicas as yer dont get worried about the sunlight fading them..)

The card is about 20 or more years old

Yep about 25 years old .I were just a lad when my grandad gave them to me.He enjoyed his Doncella.

neighbob you lucky so and so,you got them framed then ? did they do the Beaufighter in the series,that was the last plane he flew and prefered it to flying the mossie.

No Beaufighter!The only multi engined ones are the Mossie & Lanc.
