Hey Sailor, I'd recommend Mosquitopanik over the other for sure. I have both and found The Men Who Flew The Mosquito very repetitive of the former, so much so that I put it down after a few chapters because I felt I was reading the same book over again. I think Bowman's an outstanding writer but I was a bit annoyed at having bought both books when one borrowed so much from the other.
I'm sure I'll pick up TMWFTM again someday and enjoy it, but if your interested in the nightfighter vs nightfighter war, Mosquitopanik is the one.

The original edition of 'Men Who Flew' I liked, but mainly 'cos the cover featured Coulson's 'Jailbreakers'.....
Fact is, both books seem to to be 'missing' something, IMHO. One of the best Mosquito books ever hasn't even been published in this country ( ) ; it's 'The Gestapo Hunters - The Story of 464 Squadron RAAF' published in Aussie by Banner Books.
Fantastic book !

Mosquito by Martin Sharp and Michael J F Bowyer published in 1967 with a forward by Sir Geoffrey de Havilland covers every aspect of the Mossie, it is however quite technical but I for one like that.

Hey Sailor, I'd recommend Mosquitopanik over the other for sure.
"Mosquitopanik" is a hybrid of "Mosquito Bomber Units, 1942-45 (Osprey Air Combat 4)" and "Mosquito Fighter Units of World War 2 (Osprey Combat Aircraft 9)"
I had a distinct attack of deja-vu when reading it...in places its a word-for-word lift....:(

I second that. Excellent book that covers the Mozzie in great detail.
