Heres a couple of pictures that FOV have sent us on the 1/32nd range of helicopters...... Don't look half bad, but I think these are already available in teh range as I have seen them here and there....

Actually, these are 1/48 and are repaints not yet issued of two current models.

I've got the first two and they're definitely 1/48. They aren't bad, but are definitely more toylike than their armour or say Corgi. The Sunstar Apaches are a better bet in this scale.

Looking through a diecast model mag in the newsagents this morning, item on the toyfair pics show desert Pavehawk and says it will be in 1/48 AND 1/32.

That's very interesting if true, but it may be a confusion of the fact that they also have an upcoming 1/32 warbird series and there wasn't any word of a Pavehawk in the mix. There definitely wasn't any coverage of that in the recent Toyfairs.

Now if Corgi could make a Blackhawk/Pavehawk to the same standard as their Sea King and Chinook models, FOV would really need to run for cover!
I don't know about the models, but just the name alone makes me cringe! :D

Yep, it's pretty bad, but not as bad as Dragon's "Glory of the Waffen SS" label on one of their 1/72 armour offerings.

We have received the following information from FOV in relation to their 1/48th Scale 'copters. These are planned for release in 2007.
All material is copyright FOV and prior permission is needed from them for use of the material.
84306 - MH60G Hawk - Persian Gulf 1991
84406 - MH60G Hawk - Eglin Air Force Base
84208 - AH-64D Apache Longbow - Iraq 2003
Like the look of the Apache, will reserve further comment until I see it in the flesh.

Reading my post of two years ago (is it really that long, I really should get a life! ), Corgi HAVE now made a Blackhawk AND it's a stunner, so hopefully a 1/72nd Pavehawk will be along at some point in the near future! And the name "Forces of Valor" still makes me cringe!
