Okay guys, engineers to the fore please. I am sure this has been mentioned somewhere before but I am having trouble making the castoring tailwheel (or should it be polluxing?!) tail wheel on BBD stay down.... Any red hot tips on how I might attempt this or provide a temporary fix? Bluetack? bit of string....any help most welcome! (or is this a case of the engineer not reading the manual correctly?)

If you apply a bit of force it should click into place and lock down. It's a bit hard on the nerves the first time you try it but it does work.
Of course if it breaks off I shall deny everything! :D

Ha! I felt the exact same way ^^^^ when I was installing my P-40 canopy, 1/48 scale diecast. Came separate, and had to apply a bit of force. Not sure if it would split, or snap in place ;) .

Yep!! Brute force W/B, the only way.... Not excessively though and it does click into place..... :D . I know what your thinking...... :o

This sort of thing should be on a seperate thread under model problems.. or something like that.. cos aint there something about the packaging with the 32nd Mustangs... Aint got one yet but these Stingers at less than a score look good... Think I shall wait for the Crows to hit £20.. :D Ill find some bloomin space somewhere..
The other one is Hunter fuel tanks... watch em as yer yank the model out of the box...
Or the Townsend Hurri with the flaccid stand end..

Yes Agent... May move to a new section or find a section for this question. Quite agree....
On the 1/32nd Mustangs, there is like a centre plastic clip that holds the model in place. the planes normally come with a poly piece around them (protecting it from the clip). If you put the plane back without the poly protective, then for sure you will damage the Mustang, so BE AWARE.......
Also be careful pulling in and out of the clip......!!! :)

I removed those black plastic clips from my boxes, they just slide out. The model doesn't exactly rattle around in it afterwards. Can't see the point in them.

So! as previously requested, Why no instructions on assembly of parts, to help, so bits like undercarriage are put in correctly!!! This was posted ages ago and still inaction on Corgi's part.
Surely if you buy any item it usually comes with a bit of paper to explain assembly a'la ikea/mfi. Not really that hard. Notice they do it for buccaneer probe, but not much else.
And I daren't put the tail wheel down on my 32 old crow for fear of snapping it!

I posted this on the 'old' forum when the 'Crow' was first released. The response was the same - brute force!! But it worked!

Interesting you say about instructions, because I seem to remember when Corgi used the "old" stands (you know, the two little pieces of black plastic they used to use that were as fiddly as hell and you usually spent 15 minutes searching the living room floor for before you got the stand on?!) I think they did come with instructions in the packet if I recall correctly, but I might be cracking up!

I've just spent more than half an hour struggling with that stupid wheel and have finally resorted to blue tac. If anyone can illustrate exactly how to "lock" this thing in I will be grateful.I don't want to repeat the damage done to my Chinook for rather too familiar reasons. How much does a small piece of paper really cost and of course a good fit!!

As with the other guys - a swift yank to the right and your wheel will be locked.

Still no luck :( . I think that the blue tac will have to stay!
