In addition to the major players, please get some pictures of any Atlas, Dragon, Oxford, Falcon or IXO warbird models you see displayed, Pauck. These guys are delving into interesting niche areas like the Storch, TA-152, B-58, Tiger Moth, etc. Also, if you note any activity in the armor category----especially in the 1:43-1:50th scale range, I'd be most interested. Thanks.

Could you have a look at 'Clevelands' /Sky Guardians Europe stand, as speaking to them yesterday, they said that they hope to have a painted version of the long awaited Sea Vixen and Javelin. Any photos would be great:D Have a great show.

So here is my small review of the Nuremburg Toy Fair. Thanks for supporting, Wings900.com!
All comments are my own opinion and point of view.
The range of producer of die cast airplanes wasn’t big. I made photos from Century Wings, Corgi, Dragon, Forces of Valor, Oxford Diecast. Hobby Master wasn’t on the toy fair, Falcon I didn't find (Atlas=Oxford, IXO=Altaya)
I split airplanes and military/support vehicle, for those that are interested in, you find it in a different thread.
I add although a diorama section.

Airplanes

Let us start with Corgi:
We have World War 1, Inter War, World War II, Cold War and Helicopters.
http://www.bildercache.de/minibild/20110206-204954-387.jpg (http://www.bildercache.de/anzeige.html?dateiname=20110206-204954-387.jpg)
Only this small corner presents the Aviation Archive (and a small cabinet). The rest is Airfix, Scaletrix, cars etc, Aviation Archive is only a brand in a company…
Good thing: The displayed airplanes are in good conditions, not this junkyard like the last years (2010 was it better too), I miss some (for me) very important models: Mosquito in 1:32, the Coastal Command Halifax p. e. (in place of that a “Friday the 13”). If someone will want to see pages from the catalogue: I have one and I would scan it. The new products are mostly interesting for GB collector, I think.

I like this little colourful deadly hunter of the sky! The propeller looks now more realistic. Nice new paintings.

Inter War Collection
Corgi starts a new collection, with one novelty: Hawker Hart! These two versions of the Fairey Swordfish are repaints and the silver livery looks good!

Thanks for posting. Both the Camel and the Hart have upper wings that are mounted too high on the struts (I know this has been mentioned previously as far as the Hart is concerned) and trust this will be remedied on the production versions. The profile of the Hurricane also does not look quite right, both the canopy and the distinctive "humpback" appearance - both of which were very well done on the old Corgi Mk I, does not look quite right. This may be purely down to the angle that the picture was taken but I hope there will be the opportunity to comment on this one before the mold is finalised.

Looks like there is a new, cradle type stand for the Vulcan, perhaps to allow the display of Blue Steel in flight? although the one on display only shows Blu-Tack

Thanks for the pics Pauck, good work :)

Looks like there is a new, cradle type stand for the Vulcan, perhaps to allow the display of Blue Steel in flight? although the one on display only shows Blu-Tack

http://i377.photobucket.com/albums/oo215/daveyblade/blutac.jpg
As far as I'm aware the stand will be just the same as previous models I'm afraid... :)

I forget something: Great news in the Easy Model catalogue: We get a P-61 in 1:72! O.K. it’s plastic, but it is better then nothing, isn’t it? But I get no answer on my question of a release date, the only answer was “look on the homepage”. Additional airplanes are Il-2 Sturmovik, Fairey Swordfish, P-38, P-47D, F2A/M339, Fw 190A-6

Thanks for making the effort to keep us all up to date Pauck. Its very appreciated indeed and the first thread I click on when I open up the forum.

Happy about the Oxford vehicles, even if they are 1/76th (at that size the difference isn't going to be very pronounced compared to 1/72) With HM introducing airfield vehicles, its going to be a good year for making our displays come to life a bit more.

Also happy about the upcoming selection of Easy Model aircraft. The MiG17, and P61 float my boat in particular, but I say this with the reservation that EM is notoriously slow to bring to market models they say they will be producing. I have a hard copy of EMs catalogue from a year or two ago, and probably 25-30% of the models and types depicted have still to appear ie; is the Buffalo ever going to make an appearance? So, fingers crossed...as they have certainly picked types that are gaps in the diecast world and high on the collectors lists.

Yes, good points that you and Zed have made about the 'Easy Model' delays.....we might get a 'quality' 1/72 diecast Buffalo and IL-2 sooner :) With regard to the vehicles, I agree that 1/76 is acceptable especially as many 'specialist' military vehicle manufacturers and kit makers also produce to 1/76 scale. I think Oxford may also introduce more 'cross-over' items that can be released in civil and military liveries so understandably they will remain consistent with their current 1/76 'OO railway' scale model range :)

Panzerstahl announced two new product lines, Panzer III and Hetzer, both in 1:72
Panzerstahl is a relative new brand, produced by a German retailer. Modellbau König (name of the retailer) has produced till now Panzer IV, Klakpanzer Wirbelwind / Ostwind, Sd.Kfz. 234/1, Sd.Kfz. 234/2 “Puma”, Sd.Kfz. 234/3 “Stummel”, 234/4 PAK-wagen and Bundeswehr vehicles like SPz Marder, TPz Fuchs and ATF Dingo.

Low production runs between 1200 (Bundeswehr) and 3000 (Panzer III and Hetzer) for each version of the tank make them to a good collectable, cause no add. versions will produce. Retail price will be round about 21 Euro.
The new products are made of plastic, because in plastic it is possible to produce with finer details.
