Anybody care to give us a rundown of what York was like? Mrs CFBC would not let me go as she saw my six parcels delivered this week while I was away working.... :(

Two dealers there with one two AAs scattered amongst the other stalls. One was Mr Spock? the other is a regular who must cheese off the other dealers with his prices. Maybe is the reason that the others don't appear there any more?
I bought Glessner P51 for £10 and Gulf War Tornado for £10 each. Some of the othermodels available were:
B52s around £15 including the one with the X15
C47/mustang/Tbolt D Day set £12
Various C47s including Air Atlantique and 52 TFW £8 each
TU4 £7.50
Various Tonados £10
Victor & Vulcan set £40
Phantoms very cheap but I can't remember how cheap
French York £5 - should I have got one?

I went but don't know if I will bother again. Mr Spock was the only AA trader there and it was nice to chat to him. Came home with the Beurling Spit which is very nice.

Down here in Folkestone we have a bath in every house and Indoor toilets.
We also grow a pretty mean Marrow....Grommit would be impressed.
Johnny foreigner can also understand our English :)
When it comes to other things of interest, we have :-
The Hawinge Battle Of Britain Museum, the finest in all the world. They even have 2 Defient rear gunner flying suits, with built in parachute..... read it and weep boys.
We also have the Battle Of Britain memorial, above the white cliffs. Compleate with plastic Hurricane and Spitfire..... oh yes...and dog
We also have a railway tunnel that used to hide the big gun called "Bosh Buster".
There is also the Dave Cotton Die Cast Display and tea shop ;)

Good job they're not diecast, you'd have them away and try to squeeze them in the model room:D

I would have thought that Johnny Foreigner is most of the population of Folkestone, their Inglish is vely goode:D
Do you have any water to put in your bath, I heard through the modern telegram service that you Southerners are having to survive on only 5 baths a day;)
Change is not good!

Must admit I thought the whole of England was unwashed. Plenty of water in Scotland. May be short of diecast at least us Scots can have a nice bath without the water being rationed.

Forgot that one we gave up our independence and were not conquered by the nasty English unlike the pointless Welsh!

Come on we all know the Republic of Yorkshire is the only place in Britain worth living in. The only place that retains an identity without relying on assemblies and stupid laws to keep it going. One of very few places that 4 trees and a small pond don't constitute "rural", somewhere where you can still actually talk to people (you Southerners remember that?), somewhere where we actually get portions of food in shops rather than mouthfuls, somewhere we get GOOD food rather than either something revolting or something fasionable (or as is often the case both), come on, the case is overwhelming, or has the smog started to affect your heads? :D

Went today but content and sellers were pretty much the same as last time. Did see the CHC Mossie and Camo ME109 which were without certs but not labeled or defaced as decerts. No weathered 109 though.:(
Flightline Hurri was £45 but still not tempted. SnS B17 £50, Working Range Jersey Jerk at £60 (I think!) and 1 Squadron set £50. One or two other models but only bought the Hobbymaster Stuka.

A year since my last visit and this has almost reached rock bottom. I wasn't expecting much and I wasn't disappointed. Amongst a sea of haulage and railways I saw 3 x Gibbes Spits at 9.99, four second hand tatty looking Dragon models, Droop Snoot P38 at £18 and a Jag. That was it.
This venue used to be second only to the Harrogate Toy Fair and a couple of years ago lots of bargains to be had. :(
