View Full Version : Odds on a Mossie FBVI ?

They've done the PR and two bombers - a FBVI is the glaring omission.

Do you reckon it'll happen ? Retailers tell me privately that these things don't exactly fly off the shelves in the current dodgy retail climate..... :(

If it's a Mossie, I'll buy it.

Likewise, but guess that is M/B's April fools joke!!!! :)

No - I was being serious  !

Corgi would have to alter the mould to do a fighter-bomber and I'm honestly wondering if the market can take another big Mossie. Possibly they'll limit it to 1500 as with the 'Oboe' one......

We have yet to see the lowered value of the first three M/B..... It's not going to be pretty.... :(

Then we may or may not see a fourth..... Personally I hope we do, but I know whats around the corner (like so many of us do)......

Is the 1/32nd a viable product? Don't get me wrong... I personally think it's their "flagship" along with the ME/Spitty and hopefully soon Huri too, but.......

Think you're right, CFBC. IMHO not commercially viable - especially twin-engined - and to be selfish I'm glad that Corgi went for the Mossie.

I'm quite certain it'll be the only large-scale die-cast Mossie we ever see from any manufacturer, and in years to come will be a sought-after bird.

I agree with you both , I will be amazed if 1:32 is part of Corgi future strategy , you may see a few more of current moulds but prob. Hurri and anything else already in the pipeline in 2005 will be the last .

I find it hard to believe Corgi would invest so much in altering the original mold to just do one release, no matter how popular it is. Having said that, all will rest on the quality of the new Mossie, if and when it arrives...

...just as a post-script.

I saw a photograph of the 'Oboe' Mossie ML907 in a book recently. I recall all of the discussions about the painted nose etc at the time of its release, but they got it bang on; even the shamrock was in the right place.
