The Polish publisher, Amercom, has just started a mostly 1:144th scale bomber line that includes planes like the B-17, B-52, Vulcan, JU-88 and DO-17. Its first release is a Polish PZL-37 "Los" ( Elk ) bomber----which is something I never expected to see in diecast form. But times are changing. This capable bomber was made to the extent of about 100 machines and around 30 of them fought the German invaders in September 1939. A few escaped to Romania and were later used against the Soviets.
The model is quite acceptable. It has a good measure of detail, an appropriate paint job and markings, and scales down pretty well compared to pictures of the real thing. I had to bend the horizontal stabilizer into the right aspect and added a dab of paint here and there plus some weathering and staining. Here's how it looks:
