Is the current Revell 1/72 PBY Privateer a re-release of the old Matchbox kit ?

IIRC it is. It`s not a bad kit though but does need a bit of TLC in some places. Again, IIRC Chris had a couple of issues and I remember I had a `wing` issue but it all came good in the end. :D

I believe that is true. Check over on Hyperscale, there are a number of threads regarding the Matchbox re-issue. :)

I have fond memories of building the Matchbox kit, many many moons ago. :) Built without painting it (couldn't afford the all the paints back then). :(
