only managed to pick-up the 727.. very nice.. similar box to Corgi, nice looking model.. only negatives are the fixed undercarriage (but there again looks like thats how Corgis going with their civvie range!) and the stand is a bit naff, but they are minor points as far as i'm concerned..

Which one --- DC8..? they atre all blo0dy gorgeous..
Need to have a chat sometime about CAM/ARD as to their possiblilities.. I need to pick up one of those die cast 727's..
I never remember the Lufthansa being in CAPITALS.. old age perhaps..
Lord of the Rings 747 came today... been in a state of permanent drool since the postie delivered... talk about how to market models... the hound wouldnt touch first base...

Yep the early scheme had Lufthansa in capitals, as per the photo on the box lid.. ;) the next scheme (all blue tail) and thereafter had capital 'L' rest in lower case.
ARD had the Balair, United (which i was tempted by), Ecuadorian (?!) and Braniff DC8's.. believe they were £69.95..?? they also had an Air Fungus 707, but they were just closing up so didnt have chance to look properly.. hopefully CAM will have the Hogan Super Connies back in stock next week.. :D

Less yer 10% with the card...??
I have never been down there.. is it 100% drool..? Did they have many 727's..
The Aer Linctus 707 is a must...
If you can, have a look at the Super Connie before you buy it.. some have not been too kind....
Have just spent $79 on a Braniff 707.. baby ***** brown....
Next time you are going gissa bell...
1/200 Herpa Lord of the Rings 747 today.... briought back some excitement into this hobby...

I am restricting myself to 1/400th scale as 1/500th is just tooooo tiny! I was a bit miffed when this Herpa 1/500th Lufty 727 came out, but even more delighted as this month Aeroclassics have released one in 1/400th with chrome belly and it's SUPERB!

I bought a Herpa Delta Airlines 727 from the premium line years ago. I really like it, however it was rather expensive. It comes with a "hangar-stand", but can therefore only be displayed on ground and the u/c is fixed in the down position!

They are all expensive..!!! :D
this looks quite nice.. although they've gone down the Corgi route of making it in 2 halves?

Yep theres one on at 1 euro start price.. in fact three of them have appreared on the Bay in the last 48 hrs....
What gets me is that we have NO UK dealer that seem to be the slightest bit interested in telling us.. in fact am coming to the conclusion there are NO UK dealers..
Personally I think some of this retro stuff looks silly..
AA did not..!!

I like this scheme, still trying to get to Heathrow to try and get a piccy of the real thing. (got till the end of the year.) and how would that look next to the diecast lufthansa 727 from herpa as well? :)

rather scrummy.. that one and the AA one was good... not so the TCA one..
Actually like both the old and new Lufthansa liveries.. seem you can spend a small fortune on the premium stuff...
