It was a famous 'cock-up' by the printers ( they also spelt 'Ruhr' as 'Rhur'... ). John Sweetman's book tells more about this - he's of the opinion that 'Damn' may have been a joke.

so on the BIN price thats an average of £385 per print?? :eek: and not even framed.. :rolleyes: must admit I dont follow the prices of 'previously owned and enjoyed' prints so dont know if this is good price or not?? If I had that kinda dosh though think i'd have bought the Dam Busters menu - a real historic/collectable item? :D

continuing the bomber theme, story in todays telegraph of the story of a 460 sqdn halifax crew found last year near berlin and the story to find out who they are, there is a very good chance this will be done, so another 5 names coming off the runneymeade memorial, i say 5 cos apparently an eye witness saw 2 parachutes
