Neil attached.. you asked about size...
707 in 1/400 is 4.5 inches long
DC8 in 1/200 is 9 inches long
707 in 1/144 is 13 inches long
The 400ths are lovely but they are just too small and everyones eyesight eventually deteriorates.. although I dont wear glasses I fibnd some of the super detail that the 400ths have impossible to see. They also remind me of the freebies you got out of a Krispies packet..!!
DC8 200th
707 and Connie 400th..

Nice piccies Agent. Connies a work of art in miniature. NeilD see them fine as got Varifocals now. Everything looks bigger than before :D
Or do you live in a mansion with Bl%%dy big door locks, keys about a foot long.
Inflights do look nice, but whole point of corgi 1/144 was so I didn't have to spend this sort of dosh (the tight g!t that I am)

Actually I thought the piccies were carp... have to get a better camera..
Naw.. just the keys to a well hung gate..
For the money the Corgi 1/144's were by far the best and they pretty much had the scale to themselves. (trouble is when they die the scale kinda dies..). I just think they started in the wrong era, hoever romantic the 40's and 50's were, IMHO they would have been far better off starting with a few Boeings from 60's/70/80's....(the subjects that they did do, they should have looked to 1/200th.. they would have had a field day.....) however they have now starved the collector to the point where he has had to look elsewhere for nourishment.. will he return..?

Agent,
Of course they will as people will want to keep the collection going. I am amazed that companies who make £70 plus 1/200 models seem to survive and Corgi can't sell decent 1/144 subjects for under £70. You are correct, a few more modern types would help refresh the range.
