Just taken delivery of a Harrier GR3 to join all the helicopters and other aircraft on display. Houses the best, allegedly, Falklands War permanent display in the country. Also a large selection of diecast models for sale in their shop (am I allowed to put that in? ) Anyway - well worth a look see.

Well worth a visit for anyone who hasn't been. I went last summer and was well worth it, one of the volunteers kindly showed me and a mate around, and they have a heck of a lot of kit!

I am now able to report that the newly repainted Sea King (first in any UK museum) has been moved to its 'permanent' display area outside and is looking great. (I seem to be having trouble posting a picture - will try again later)
Also inside, next to the restored Whirlwind HAR 10 in support camo scheme, XP345, is the fully restored Vokes 'tropical' filter nose as used on Whirlwind 10s in Borneo, Hong Kong, Aden and Libya. We believe it is the only one of its kind left.
If you have an interest in helicopters, this is the third largest collection of them in the UK.

Nice photos there, Boris. The Sea King is there in the background. here are a couple of photos from not long after she arrived in mid 2007 and a couple taken at the beginning of January 2012. http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j402/whirlwind2ba/s003e.jpghttp://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j402/whirlwind2ba/s045e.jpghttp://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j402/whirlwind2ba/s050e.jpghttp://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j402/whirlwind2ba/s051e.jpg:)
