I asked in another area but thought this was better here.
I want to take a 1/32 109 apart because of a bust undercarriage pin but can't figure out how to get it apart.
someone offred this suggestion.
Had a look at one of mine so I have a few suggestions based on my experience disassembling other Corgi models, guys. I'd probably start with removing the lower rear fuselage panel. It appears there are two screws holding this in place, one just ahead of the tail wheel and the other just behind the trailing edge of the main wing. The holes have rubber plug covers that I find can usually be removed by prying the edge with a micro screwdriver giving accress to the screws holding the panel on.
If that doesn't allow for removal of the wing or access to other screws that will, I'd guess there may be a screw under the centerline fuel tank mount. You could try prying that up to see whats there, but do so at your own risk as the part may be damaged in the process depending on how well it's glued on. Good luck!
has anyone actually done it?

Was the above suggestion from no4kmt? If so i think this is the best you are going to do on this forum. He is the 'master of diecast modifications' on here and even if he hasn't done it he usually knows how! :)

I'd say your best bet is follow No4s advice and start with the scrapper. Will allow you to implement any lessons learned when it comes to dismantling the other... ;) :)

I've got a damaged one on the way, I'll post some pics as I dismantle it.

You will have to pry of the fuel tank mount, under it is 1 screw to remove to get the wing off, it just falls away so be careful
Watch out for the springs that make the undercarriage release operate. The rest is straightforword, remove the 3 plugs on the underside of each wing that cover screws, and remove the the plastic wing undersides(carefully, dont bend or put them under too much stress, and there you are.Fixed mine ok by making a new pin,so I now have a spares/repair Gotz for sale. Its in pretty good nick, missing the rear rudder and fuel tank mount. Both undercart legs have their pins intact but the right one won't lock down cz the locking tab has snapped off.Theres some marks and small dings here and there but if you can source a rudder it will make an OK display model. £20 plus post if anyones interested.
