These were originally published by Arms & Armour Press in conjunction with the RAF Museum in the late '70s and became highly sought-after. The original series also featured the Mosquito ( ).
They are excellent books but hugely technical ; you could almost scratch-build an entire new aircraft. Illustrations are mainly drawings or photos of components. They also include loads of tech data about engines, fuel systems, etc.
They're Manuals - they do exactly what it says on the tin ! ;)

I ended-up parting with some of my well earn't dosh and acquired Pilots Notes and Flight Engineers Notes for the Lancaster & Mosquito...... (I am in training, ok)...... Managed to pick them up locally.....
Same price as the web and I must say I have only had a quick flick through them sat at traffic lights, roadworks and any other excuse on my way home, but they look VERY good...... WELL worth the money....... :)
