Must come with rotors stowed - they're detachable anyway. Just like the Stuka - another pointless legend (or rather, a legend that even the diehards'll buy!).

I think that this model , somewhat like the Yellow SAR , will be in short supply ( eventually as it has been sold out at Corgi UK for ages but not sure about retailers and no doubt it will not have the same following across the pond so some may find there way back ) because it will find buyers outside just the usual collectors . Speaking to my new/future neighbour who still works on rigs but now in the Gulf of Mexico and despite having no interest in general in the hobby he has one on order as he travelled on them a lot in the 80's .

But a chinny for gawds sake. One will be fine.

If they had been really clever they would have done it with the Dambuster Lancs.. this sort of thing was put forward by one or two on this and other forums beforehand.. real collectors will want both.. anyway this is common practice with the civil side.. good on em.. bit of initiative.... next...... all 9 Red Arrows..!!! :D :D :D

That dont matter, but I think what Goony and others are eluding to is that the hound aint too faithful to his supporters.. peeps like Inflight etc will do two versions but I know up front what they are up to.. THe pooch its more a case is thats gone well lets do anotherone and on some releases its getting close to the bone..
Imagine yer 500 limited Edition McKenzie Thorpe print .. oh look weve just printed 2000 more.. the art world wouldnt put up with it and the pooch may find that neither will some of the collectors.. and in addition I dont think that these sort of actions are very fair on the dealers.. The only model shop I know in Edinburgh is Wonderland which is 97-101 Lothian Road right up the top end-I was looking for f1 items at the time-it was a big shop..
There was another shop close to the Castle but from what I remember they sold mainly toy soldiers and Corgi Toys.
It is some time since I looked so not sure what aviation items they keep.
May be worth a telephone call.

Also for many its the same scenario as the Sabre / Meteor . Leg-end seems to have been a success as most brought it being unaware that a AA version was on the cards . Would obviously only appeal to the same people who brought the Leg-end so do a 1000 people want ( have room ) for 2 BA Chinooks ??

'Tis the way commissions have been going.....take a Legend, change a few letters on the side, add a box.....
Don't have a problem with this generally, although the retailers that are doing it could end up with overkill.....in a short period of time we have had or are getting the CHC Sandy 109, Mule's P-40, Langley's Jag and now the CHC Chinny. Plus also the 500 issue Sabre & Meteor.

What it does do is make said Legends redundant so bring on the Legends BA Chinny at a tenner...

Dont think they will bother removing the Legends sorry 'Pioneers of the Air' certs.. if they can get into a Legends box good on em..!! But do think that with all this diecast about there is definitely overkill.
What they have to be aware of now is that as I cant collect them all, its only going to be a certain few now... wheras a couple of years ago it was a good 75-80% of the collection and 5 years ago I was trying to buy the whole blo*dy lot.. :D

I'm just ****** annoyed that this wasn't announced much earlier. I don't like Legends, but pre-ordered this thru a friend as i thought it would be the only way of getting this scheme. A Legend supposedly limited to 1300 pieces, but now there is a 1000 extra in normal AA packaging? FFS this is really starting to **** me off. I wish to god they would just come out and say what's going to be released, how many and when. All this chopping and changing isn't doing the hobby any good and its f***ing me off royally. As it is a commission I would suggest you contact the guys at CHC as usually with a commission you take delivery of the whole batch of models so Corgi may not have spares.
Hope this helps.
