:) Mr. Cardinal,
Welcome to the Forum. Mr. TDM may be treading a fine line but I for one would like to think he is may be right. Recent Hound release has left much to be desired and imho harmed their reputation badly. The Newcomers are going and indeed are giving them a run for the diecast aviation pounds/dollars.......;) :(

Sadly, I share your sentiments with regard to the Corgi QC issues. I've had more than my share of QC problems with Corgi over the past year or so, but no more so than with some of the other manufacturers. (Don't even get me started on the Dragon F14 Jolly Rogers QC issues I encountered .)
I do sincerely hope that Corgi get their QC issues under control though as they are still a benchmark for the industry, with a time honoured tradition in the die-cast field. It would be sad to see them slip into the abyss when they have both the history and the potential to still lead the way if they choose to do so .

What, who, me? Never.....
On both points.:D
Irony & sarcasm can be separate or inter-twined with sarcasm within irony or vice-versa......as was the case in my comment.....irony in that they might be doing something they probably aren't, sarcasm in that it was a critisism of Corgi's current QC. Irony: "lovely weather" when it is p*ssing it down....sarcasm (when you are really meaning to be derogatory about something/someone): "what a lovely model" when it is clearly a bag of sh*te. Unfortunately (or sometimes fortunately:D ) many folks don't know the difference....

Just received todays Corgi newsletter e-mail to say the following has just been released (or being)
This week's special release is the Supermarine Spitfire F VIII - Flt. Lt. 'Eddie' Edwards from the Aircraft of the MTO range for £29.99. After being rested as a gunnery instructor with 203 Group at El Ballah, Edwards was promoted to Squadron Leader and joined 417 Squadron in Italy in 1944 flying Spitfire Mk VIIIs
Is that it? :)

Doh! Anyway I would really like to get this desert spit and the Dick Audet one but corgi priority still seems to be lost again as the Ian Richard Gleeds Spit is far more attractive looking and its part of the BoB Memorial flight (Ok it's not the same marked spit) But one of Polish teams spits are really nice too, looking at my latest Osprey Book of reference :D
Plus I say again the Dick Audet one isn't as attractively marked as the latest similiar camo Warbird's One. But I suppose the more I read about these pilots the more I want a 1:72 scale diecast represented model of the spit they flew in the war, so too that I say "Corgi I am really really truely grateful", even if your priority seems to be a bit pants and please please sort out that Dihedral on the VB's

In that case they need new wholesalers organised or they are well and truly shafted, seeing as they sell far more AA in the UK than anywhere else.....

This is the info I got from a mate who owns a model shop, he says the hound sells direct to shops but only in large amounts so a lot of shops go through a wholesaler and pick up the items they want.

There is a full page Corgi advert on the back inside cover of this month's Flypast, which arrived today. On it there are pictures of the first two Lysanders (pre-pros by the look of them).....no rear gun on either.
