nice a/c, shame about the overspray, but give it 2 or 3 years, it'll be a winner

Just updated my site with the Vulcan Tanker and , if you've got one, note the mistakes on the box-lid insert text !

Maybe just maybe Corgi will release a Vulc without a mistake, well maybe not.
Still love it though.

Ascot, not one of his Kidneys.... All pickeled.....
Anyway, look around and you can pick-up some of the Vulcans at a reasonable price now..... Come Xmas and you will struggle.......
What other Vulcans do we want? (not the Spock variety either).....

Still see some of the earlier vulcans in the shops over this part of the world guys, one of my suppliers still had a couple in his shop when i picked up the 3 plane set B17 Thunderbolt and Mustang on Saturday.

I've got the 50 Sqn Vulcan, but mine hasn't got too bad overspray, I know the retailer so I went through them all to pick out a good one! I'd like to see a reissue of XH558-how about a club special from VTS? Surely a decent money spinner for them? If you make it a relatively small run and put it in commemorative packaging (with the technical specs for a Vulcan not a Victor!) and I think they may have a winner, the original certainly does well enough!

I really hope that they do not do a reissue of XH558. If you havent got one tough luck. If there is a reissue the orginal will be worthless.

Quite agree A/c.... I do not and seriously hope that Corgi are NOT going to re-issue the XH558. There are STILL Plenty of em out there.... Look peeps..... Evilbay and the odd toyshop too... I found one lurking on a back shelf last month.... :p
Also, look at the re-issued 1/144th Dambusters Lancaster..... What a failure.
What Corgi shuld be doing and it has been suggested in the 1/72nd scale threads is issueing a Ltd Ed, "special commissioned" piece in 1/72nd scale with full history, extra's and a Ltd Ed Certificate.... Say with a quantity of 500-1000 pieces.......
Come on.... Corgi...... :)

I've got a 597 Falklands commemorative edition. Cost me an arm and a leg though. I'm not sure I like the tanker Vulcan. The add on at the rear looks crap. I don't have much choice here in NI to go look at the models as we lack the diversity of model shops and have next to no toy fairs so I can only make my mind up through tricatus site, ebay pics and online shops.

I've got my Vulcan tanker but I haven't seen it yet as it is in the loft due to it being a Christmas present from the wife.
I'm still after a couple of Vulcan's to complete my collection but they go for silly money on ebay and I've only got one good model shop down here but alas there are Vulcan's hiding on the back of his shelves.

I don't think the flop that was the Dambusters Lancaster in 1:144 was because it was a reissue but because once again it was hugely over produced. The 1:72 Lanc hasn't done as well as it could and should have done for the same reason, it's an open edition. Please Corgi, go back to the days when they were all limited edition. Either it's for the collectors market or it's for grandad's coffee table, it doesn't always work mixing the two. the 1:72 Dambuster is a lovely piece, it should be doing better than it has done.

It doesnt work as its around £70.... there aint that many peeps out there with £70 to spend on a hunk of warlike metal..(cf Airfix - £10 plus paints..).. and most of those Yankee chappies aint heard of Lancasters.. in any case John Wayne and Tom Cruise have won every war they have participated in so far.. :D :D :D
The peeps that are prepared to spend £70 on a hunk warlike metal. most know that its going to be £35 in the not too distant future despite the protestations of those supposedly in the know..
So it dont leave a lot of peeps out there that will/have bought it...

You're quite right, but surely if there aren't that many people who are going to want one the solution for avoiding flooding the market is make less of them? It can't be in Corgi's interests to have dumped models selling at half retail price. If they make the runs shorter it'll increase competition for them hence people won't risk waiting a few months to see it come down, as there won't be any left. Look at what has happened with the Corgi club specials? I'm sorry but I think smaller runs are the way forward for die cast, it's the only way the market isn't going to collapse in the not too distant future. things can't carry on as they are.

Craig, they are certainly heading down the "smaller" runs and with the amount of talking I am doing and "digging", well more commissions look possible this year, but I hope not too many.......
As for The Vulcan, well that is a sell-out at Corgi, so all the Retailers and Traders have em now.... Be interesting to see what happens with this one..... It was the starter for lower runs..... ;)

Smaller runs.. but they are still dumping. :D :D :D . (aint gonna tell em otherwise as I for one will stop collecting if I cant get em for reasonable money..) £30/£40.. is more reasonable enough for a 1/72 Lacaster..
