£10? Bargain.
Microsoft Century of Flight is great (but you need at least 512 RAM and 3Gb to get the full benefit of the graphics. )
You can fly a number of famous historic planes in a contemporary setting and they now have interactive cockpits where you can twiddle the knobs onscreen. (No giggling at the back)
Theres also an option to take flying lessons with an interactive instructor - which are substantially cheaper and potentially less painful than the real thing.
Score yourself a CH usb pedals and yoke set and you too can experience the realism and wonder of your wife staring at you with barely concealed contempt.

I already spend far too much time with a stick in my hand, joystick that is.....
If I invested in a setup like that I'd be on divorce number two!! ;)

looks impressive, given one or two ideas for planejunkies birthday in a couple of years time - not that I'm stingy with my presents it's just that I'll be a qualified nurse by then and it can double up as a thank you for all the support he's given me.....then of course i could have a go.
There agin seeing as I have no flight sim skills what so ever it would pointless I guess...sad really when my neice at the age of 8 years of age could take off and land - me, well..take off and land aka crashing happens all too quickly for me! :) oh well practice makes perfect or so they say!

Dont worry we all start off with no flight sim skills*.. its just that 8/12 year olds pick it up a little faster than us more senior citizens do..
* some of us never really progress at all .. I still get shot down on a regular basis.... and by an Fw189..!!!

oh no, I definately don't have any simming skills at all, shame really as planejunky and I could sort out our differences over the network! :) Not that that happens often (normally involves me and 10000 words worth of assignments and a deadline getting ever closer :D

The Real Cockpit company make really nice products. I had the chance to spend an afternoon playing on one with a projector and it is just like the real thing. I would shell out for one of those anyday....infact, I may even sell my camera!
