Word on the street is that Corgi and Hobbymaster have partnered up.. Don't know if that means that Corgi purchased HM or Vice-versa, but there is something up with Corgi releasing all these new molds that coincidentally, are being released by Hobby Master..

CFBC
13th October 2006, 19:08
They have simply tied-up to offer HM models "badged" under the new Corgi range.. Nobody has bought each other, simply a tie-up between the two that was (as far as I know) agreed before Hobbymaster decided to go alone....

:)

Yes with Quality and Quantity. There is a train of thought that if we release so many and create a thread for each and every one, even Agent won't be able to comment on EVERY thread on the forum!!!

I'm glad CFBC clarified the position vis-a-vis Corgi/HM, otherwise I may have thought whoever at Corgi dreamt up the name for this range had a warped sense of humour.....

Now I'm even more dazed and confused : will we see a 'Rudel' from H/M, or Corgi, or both.....?

Not that I am aware of MB.. Corgi's "Predator" range is supposed to be different to the HM releases in terms of liveries.

We will have to wait and see what the box contains though on the first ones that arrive, when they arrive. :)

If Corgi are going to release the same liveries as HM does this mean they wont be released in the uk under they own brand name? If this is the case a change of logo and higher prices could mean yet again its us that will lose out!

As i have'nt got any HM kits could anyone enlighten me as to whether the planes have crew in them . I hope they use the corgi stands to match the rest of the range and look forward to the Hellcat and Avengers. The price of 19.99 for a boxed model really shows up the overpricing of corgis own collection, an avenger wold be 41.99 at least:wacko:

Must admit probably one of the better in the range, but to be honest that's not really saying alot is it? More pointless ventures by corgi, more cheapo products, less focus/effort on regular AA's etc etc, looks like we've been here before. No pilots? Better a Fat Bloke than none at all.......Oh that didn't sound good did it (on so many levels), not really trying to promote obesity honest :o

Erm, I believe so, but not 100% Col. They are based on the Hobbymaster range, but these come with u/c and a display stand which is interchangable, but I did hear talk that the Corgi range will be one or the other...

Hope that helps... It's as much as I know for now. :)

The Flying Mule is showing the final batch of 4 Predators (FAA Hellcat + Avenger, PAF F-104 + IAF MiG-21) as in stock. Photos of the 2 FAA aircraft look very nice - definite must haves. The MiG looks better than I'd expected and I could be tempted, but the MiG just doesn't appeal - the colours look far too bright and toy-like.

Wow, personally think that these two Corgi predators are the best of all the bunch!

I just wish that Hm would look at these in respect of the panel lines and take action on their 1/72nd range. These are very :cool indeed from Corgi, but produced in the HM factory so it is possible!

Have now ordered both plus the latest dauntless.

Funny how none of us were going to buy any of this 'over priced Corgi rubbish' when anounced (after all what a cheek charging more for a re-packaged HM) In reality they have ended up being a better product (IMHO :) ) and for less money (seem to have leveled out at about 15 from most sources)
