Ive only been to the Newark toy fair once, and to be honest, I was a little disappointed.. There wasnt as many "Aviation" related stalls as there are at the Lincs Showground event..seemed to be mainly cars and buses. Maybe I picked the wrong day, so dont let me put you off.. :)

..... Mainly trains, buses and cars....
Ain't that the trouble with most 'Toyfairs' ?
Generally aimed at the 'Full-On' anoraks !
Last one I went to, they (virtually) ALL fit the stereotype.....
... ... i.e. look like inbreds:wacko: , lacking deodorant (smelly B**tards),
no Girl-friends, or wives (unless they look like a bag of spanners or a Thirteen-pinter at a 'Grab-A-Granny' night:eek:) & a penchant for buying cheap $hit.
Plus they ALL seem to dither around in a day-dream, blocking the Aisles
No wonder it's mostly all 'Dinky' cars from the '60's & '70's, with Trains proliferating !
Last one I went to, I was in & out like a ferret, having accquired a 'Finnish' Brewster Buffalo & an (extra) Hobbymaster "Showtime-100" F.4
Left for home, 20 mins after arrival
Kinda sums it up

Ahh well, I will dig the motorbike out of the garage, go for a ride and pop in to Newark, that way, if it's crap, at least I will have had a "playtime" on the bike.:D

Gawd Almighty; co-incidence !!!!!!!!
I also have an 'L' reg GPz900-R (an Ebony/Charcoal/Bronze A.8)
Chose a real-minter; blagged it privately for £ 1,400 in 2004
Bleedin' Fuel-Tank rotted (underneath) from inside-out:eek:
Found-out in previous April, after pin-hole managed to leak fuel onto the front of one side-panel, turning the 'lug' into chewing-gum
Following year; used chemical-sealant liner, to get it thru it's M.o.T. = but it's gone again, one year later:rolleyes:
Handles & goes well enough, but caning it (red-lining) thru the gears ain't dramatic enough for me...... so I'll start saving by for something more scary !
Also, it ain't as comfortable as folks LIKE to make out (unless you've got the physique of a Gibbon:wacko: )

Mine is a "J" reg and I picked it up in 2005. I had a new "N" reg one back in 1996-1998 but had a bad accident on it and it never felt the same after that.
