Corgi Hawker Hurricane Russian Air force

Just an observation. But has the Hound sold us a Pup.

Many of us have looked for land lease aircraft in the absence of a genuine Il2, Mig or the like.

But on looking at the Huri for the first time in detail, are we not in fact being sold another RAF plane but within a different theatre of Operations?

The aircraft is actually a 134 squadron plane, in point of fact a 'B' flight plane, piloted by RAF crew.

Would it not have been more appropriate to model the plane in Russian colours, and with Russian pilots. Easy subject would have been the Kuznetzov '01'.

It is a strange release.....they're putting a red star on a Spitfire in 2007, so why they aren't doing the same with the Hurricane I don't know, they would have made a nice little display.....

Yes, I'll be getting this one - it's historically accurate and significant, but the cries for a Russian Hurri sort of implies a lend lease one wearing red stars, don't it?! :rolleyes:

Not at all, there is certainly a big big shortage of European marked fighters from corgi. It's only taken them 6 Years to get a spit released in Russian Markings :mad:

I agree. I will get the Spit, but will wait until 9hopefully) Corgi give us a Hurricane with a red star of the side. I will only ever buy one representative of each Lend Lease type, so am prepared to wait.
