Only found this forum about a week ago thanks to Corgi Flight Recorder. Since then I have logged on a few times to read the posts.
I started collecting die-casts about 2 years ago since then I have built up a collection totalling 6 Me 109`s, 5 FW190,11 Spitfires,10 Hurricanes,2 Me262, 6 Mosquito`s,7 P-51Mustang,4 Corsairs, 2 Zeros, 2 Lancasters, 3 Gloster Gladiators, 1Henkiel 111, 3 P-40 Kittyhawk,7 P-47 Thunderbolts,1 Liberator,1 Mitchell,2 Ju87 Stuka, the only modern aircraft in my collection is a Vulcan because I use to work on them at RAF Scampton. Does this mean that I am past redemption?

Working on the Vulcan was an expierance I will never forget, I have many fond memories, the Vulcan to me was probably the last aircraft produced that had character.

Welcome to the Forums, Grim Reaper ! Don't worry, with a paltry 70-odd models you're just a mere sprog compared to some of the loonies on here....http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/images/smilies/nana2.gif ;)

Best of luck on getting models past Mrs. JB , I think you will have more luck with the tan, if Mrs GR is anything to go by nothing gets past her.:LOL:

you'll only get hooked even deeper here.

Ain't that the truth

Before I joined this forum I was at about the same level of addiction as yourself though I had been collecting since 2000, and was pretty much a "Corgi only" collector. Since then IXOs and Hobbymasters have also joined the list, and Mrs PF is definitely not impressed with the growing collection of boxed models stashed away around the PF residence....nor with the more frequent diversion of family funds into the global diecast business.

Most of the nutters on here are friendly, helpful, and mostly harmless, but watch out for the great white one, who does have sharp teeth if provoked.

Woah!! Another marketing opportunity!

Welcome Grim Reaper! Happy posting BUT can you really sleep at night knowing you don't have a ticket for the BoB Day on MArch 17th?

Course not, so drop everything, sell the wife/kids/cat/lodger/neighbours and get a cheque for £27.50 off to
PO Box 957,
Lincoln,
LN5 5EU.

An invaluable chance to see what 70+ nutters look like...we are all friendly and you will have a fanatastic day!
