I am not sure what is the cause but it does seem that a general malaze has sent in on this forum. The effect of which is that certain well respected forum members are being drawn to the darker side of this hobby helped I might add by two of the more extremist elements that inhabit this place. (I don't have to name names you know and we know who you are):( , I fear that for for one of them it is to late for us to help for he has gone from being the rivet and colour chip expert on all things with a bent cross on it's tail to a real Heavy metal fan  but the other is still dipping his toe so could be helped. If anyone out can help to turn things around then they should please do so...........

Whats the darker side? Are people not allowed to develop different tastes and collect something else if they fancy a change.

JB,
I reskon that those who are turning to the darker side of armour and span cans need to be sent a course of Agents frog pills to try and remove the urges and temptations they (sorry we, ergh - I) might have....
Saying that... I reckon R2 has already been on Agents pills..... That is what is worrying me!

I can't help with anyone else but my malaise is totally due to Corgi, no releases of any note for a long time.
My collection is covered in dust and cobwebs, the diecast fire, as AX20 once put it,is down to dying embers.Need Wessex or ripple Jag now:(
Fortunately, all modern diecast British armour is crap otherwise i would reside half in darkness:)

I'm even considering looking at the merits of Inflight 1/200 models and have also reacquired the joy of armour collecting (to complement the aircraft of course) ... ;) :D

Fairs Fair its not only Corg! what has happened to Dragons P51 and P40, FOV B26 and Gemini's new planes, The whole market seem stagnant maybe its just the time of the year :) Them pills should be banned but what is more worrying is that certain people do not recognise them shelf's as being to blame

I am re-evaluating my whole diecast collecting. I get more fun doing photography than collecting diecast at the moment. It gets to the stage were you I think what is the point in buying more diecast to place in long term storage. Pointless so my money is going back to things which get me excited like R/C Aeromodeling and photography. After 10yrs of diecast its time for a change.

Having seen some of the Inflight 1/200 scale 707's in the metal,i would seriously consider adding a few Inflight's to my collection if they would produce some of the older civil types in military liveries,as i think they are a quality product.:)
Buying civvy aircraft in civvy schemes.......never going to happen to me (i'm not counting the Delta C-130 as it's still a Herc:o )....it's bad enough having to be herded onto those cattle-trucks when you are off on your hol's.

No chance. Still got an interest in the GJ and theres a few models I must have like a 43 sqn Phantom. Couple of bits of camera gear I fancy which will take priority. Must be other people going the same way.

Decent 300mm lens isn't that much. If you want to see the pilots tonsils you need 400mm plus but thats over kill for me. Never been a cheaper time to buy a DSLR. Once you do you never look back.

Not you as well.....blimey.
At least my models have wings ..although the recent ones are a bit shiny, granted.:D
You lot have been corrupted by CFBC. First it was MB, then Shuttle owned up and now Strix who I previously thought merely had eyes for 892 Sqn Spooks (sensible chap) but now also looks like a lost cause. Repent your sins and all will be forgiven.... almost.
Oh, and by the way, does anyone do a really good UK Sherman? ;)
