Hope hes OK. Hes one of the last great aviation adventures. I have lots of respect for people that fly round the world attached to a bag of gas.

After all this time and no contact made the worst must be feared.

Rough stuff. I enjoyed following his exploits. I really hope he's alright and found soon. I reckon he has the right stuff, I'll hold out for him.

None of the rescue beacons have been set off and its pretty hot in Nevada. Couldn't see him sitting around waiting for a couple of weeks for someone to stumble across him.

searchers have come across uncharted plane crashes six times
Quite interesting to find the stories behind these finds. Says one of the planes was registered 30 years ago.

I didn't release how big Nevada was. I thought it would be a bit like searching the Scottish Highlands for a missing aircraft. I really hope he has found himself a nice drinking well and is getting a sun tan till help arrive. Reality is that he has passed away which is really tragic.

Thanks for posting DCR, I hope this leads to them finding Steve Fossett.

Body remains found in the wreckage, NTSB say they will test for DNA, they also said that the pilot would have died instantly on impact.
