All you here about is what corgi are doing in British WW2 So What I want know is when are they going to do Junkers Ju88 or a Dornier Do 17z or even a Messerschmitt Me 110 :o

Two barrels,
This should be in the 'military' thread! I agree but we have been quite active already in posing this very question in various threads. My own list would be the following (in 1/72 scale):
Late mark Me-109
Stuka with cannon
FW-190 with bomb(s)
He-111 with V-1 (or how's about a 'Zwilling'!)
Ju-88
Me-262
Me-110 (BoB & Nightfighter)

I agree an "Iron Annie" would be rather nice, the perfect partner to the Dakota! Certainly plenty of colour schemes to go at as you say, 1:144 seems to be a little out of favour with Corgi lately though. I hope so, but instict tells me maybe not.

Can someone do some Luft 46 stuff someday. I know it didn't fly but it is a fascinating subject. An Fw 200 would be cool, Immelman III AND I./KG 40, nasty undercarriage though.

We can't get corgi to do many axis aircraft at all, let alone prototype/drawing board stuff, agree about the condor but don't hold your breath.

No problem - you get one of each, as I'm sure I will.

Best buy the airfix He-177 , corgi don't listen, the ju-52 was'nt exactly an every day topic on the forum but the are producing it . The same can be said about a battle of britain ju-88, still no sign of it and a sure seller.

You'll need a Luftwaffe fire engine to go with, for when the engines catch fire, otherwise the whole cabinet could go up

What a great diorama, fire engines, ambulance etc, and only £250 a go at corgi 2008 prices!!

IMHO The FW 200 Condor would have made the next logical big 4 engined diecast, and would have evened things out vs the Allies big Jobs! Really can't see why they chose the JU 52.

As a Lufty fan, re all the earlier items on the wish lists, yes please!!
Perhaps a little too much optimism as to the types that Corgi would do but my thoughts are turning to who will pick up the baton for the Lufty medium bombers if the Pooch has its paws full with other concerns/products.
I am convinced that there is a market, albeit finite, for Lufty types partic European theatre. Hobbymaster perhaps?

Hobby Master is doing the Bf 110. And I believe it was hawkonevoodoo that hinted somewhere that they are going to do more multi-engine stuff.......I'll take a Do 217 please:)

Someone surely has to do a Do17Z in 1/72, & if it can be modded to a 217E or K - without horrendous joint lines - even better.
Can't wait for the HM '110, just hope they don't do as Corgi have with the Ju88 & come out with every version but the one I/we want - BoB & NF.

Cool Pencil Defiat Man! I guess any manufacturer must look at how much mileage they can get out of their tooling investment. If the variants are too different then is it going to be ecconomic? Ju 88A's differ quite a bit from the Ju88G's but is a manufaturer prepared to comprimise accuracy so they can produce both? 'Some catch this catch 22!'

Seeing as its a German Aircraft thread.....an excuse to post pics of a couple of less iconic types in the collection....again, both bought off ebay ready built (although improved a little with micro flat, etc).....

The ME-163 would be nice in diecast , especially with the mottled fuselage but how could corgi justify their. MRP on that one

modifications to turn a Do17Z into a 217 would be too extensive, not to require a new tooling...
It would be easy to make a Do215 however :) .
The Do24 would be an ideal companion to the PBY...

..worth a Distinguished Fur Medal?
It is interesting to compare these images with diecast models whose colours seem to be so much more 'intense' and pay little attention to scale effect even taking into account fading, bleaching, and weathering. It seems as if the manufacturers are missing something. There is no substitute for good photographic evidence.

true, but corgi especially cant do weathering
