Fire at Sandown Airfield

In the new year somebody torched the Aviator Resturaunt at Sandown Airport(I.O.W)oh! a Restraunt you say, this had some of the best mid war aviation memorabillia i have seen (in the south)this has all been destroyed, owned by Dick Steele who owns the Airport as well, on the telly he looked gutted and i don't blame him! another case of the d++k heads in this world:mad:

I had a really nice afternoon there last summer. A few G&T's watching the aircraft come and go. The Island has got a major arson problem going on. The Aviator reastraunt wasnt that old either, it was in Flypast only a couple of years back. I think Lev also saw a couple of Spits there on a visit last year.
Real shame.
