Its an ace model, still has a pride of place in my model cabinet and will do for years to come. Sourcing it for that money as well is a cracking find as i've seen very few around since they were dumped by corgi. I love the fact that its a model that's a little bit off the wall, yet really enhances the collection and doesn't look out of place.

Just be careful when attaching the doodlebug or taking it off, the prongs look as if they are easily damaged.

I paid about 50 for mine. I don't begrudge that as it is a nice model. I am very perplexed however as to what happened to them all. I havn't seen one around in ages!! I didn't think they were a particularly small run either!

The V1 He111 is one of the best schemes, if not the best scheme, on one of Corgi's best castings. This is reflected in the fact that, although heavily discounted from RRP, it has never truly binned in the same was as many other models.

Min Reheat (my 8 year old lad) and I 'discovered' this one on Tri's site yesterday and he's set his heart on one... We were meant to be collecting Brits only, I knew that Warbirds Stuka bought with his birthday money was a wrong move! Am looking at $121.59 (inc p+p) from Flying Mule.

I think Altyre Models (?) were advertising one for, I think £50, in the January 2008 issue of Flypast (which of course hit the shops in about October 07:rolleyes: )

Could well have gone by now but if anybody wants I'll post the contact details when I can find them.

I purchased my He-111 H-22 back in May of 2006 for $64.60, which included tax, and this is my favorite Corgi 1/72nd scale aircraft that I own!! :) :D

Angels one-five,

The gentleman's name is Roy and, although he doesn't have a website, he does have a booth at a flea market in Tampa, Florida, USA, where I have purchased diecast from him in the past. His does have an e-mail address: XXXXXXXXX and his phone number is: XXXXXXXX
I hope this helps you!! :) :D

MOD's EDIT:- E-mail address and phone number removed to avoid spammers and worse perhaps using them. Please PM Theo for details if you want them.

Been humming and ahhhing about this one for quite a while but finally acquired one today for a modest £35 from Harrogate toy fair. I knew it it had been previously displayed but even after dusting it still doesn't look as clean as I would like. Has any one tried a damp cloth or steamer and if so is it OK?

Does this one also suffer from the collapsible stand?

Despite the dust I like it and think it is the best of the HE111's. It is a nice scheme and would look good even without the V1. Some photo's though I had a lot of problems with the colours for some reason and I'm still not happy.

I know this Dutch site were they have the Doodlebug Heinkel listed for a mere 49,95 euro. Don't know if they actually have it in stock (just send them an e-mail to check this) and what shipping costs will be, but it anyone is interested...

Pointed a forumite to this site some time ago regarding the He111 and if I recall correctly all went well.

EDIT:
Got a reply. Model was listed but not in stock...

Try a wet wipe DC,should come up great.

Thanks Prune. I didn't have a wet wipe but I did have an anti static screen wipe and it seems to have done a very good job. I'm happy now.:)

After waiting for it to dry I had a close look at it and moved the lamp around as I did so. I noticed that the finish varies depending on how the light strikes it. Sometimes it has a matt finish and sometimes a slightly darker and slightly satin finish which is why my photo's looked a bit odd. I don't think I have come across that with any other model.
