This is the old Airfix Hurricane I kit finished as 105 of the Irish Air Corps 1943.finished a usual with Xtracrylix and using an old decal sheet from Scale Aircraft Modelling dated 1981:eek: makes a slightly different looking Hurricane. The white backing for the bosses had to be masked and painted as were the tricolours below the wings.Excuse the dog hairs on the fireplace.

I like that Sniper, may have a go myself. I guess it is the standard RAF camo scheme as supplied from the factory?

Nicely done sniper - I'd take one of those in 1/72nd if Corgi'd do it. I was considering an IAC Spit IX Gemini repaint (or possibly another 2 seat conversion) until I saw the price for the IAC decal sheet!!

Three simple ones for Corgi to do ,Hurricane,Lysander and Gladiator, all could be done in standard British camo with Irish markings or the Gladiator could be done in light green with grey wings pre-war.Spitfires could be a problem as the single seaters were Seafire IIIs basically Spitfire Vs with four bladed prop ,folding wing-tips and hook or two seat TrIXs.I would like to see them all and the research would be no problem as the curator of the IACs museum is a good friend of mine.

Nice one! Manx Decals (I think) did a load of IAC markings, I've got an iffy Seafire and Hurricane IIC and an SE5a on the production line but can't find their underwing stripes sheet - any one got one to sell?

Orders from above, have to do Provost and Vampire at some point - drat these international marriages.....

Maple 01 - just did a quick search of my hobby site links and Meteor Productions (http://www.meteorprod.com/) has them and other Max Decals IAC sheets, and the stripes are only $8. Their IAC insignia sheet seems to be much cheaper than I recall, believe it was $20 last I checked, but Meteor has them for $12 so I may be partaking myself!

Also, look up Carpena's 72.17 Spitfire sheet - it has IAC Seafire III markings with wing stripes. Hmmm, the possibilities..... ;)

P.S. I've ordered from Meteor many times and service is very good...
