Guys,

I know it's not really litrature as such, but received my Memorial Flight 2004 Winter Edition today via the Lincolnshire Lancaster Association and have to say they have done a tip-top job..... WELL DONE.

It's very good, with some very nice articles in there too.... Some nice colour and B&W photies too....

Anyone else got theirs? :)

Sounds interesting mate. We are planning a camping trip next year up to Yorkshire to visit the Real Aeroplane Comapny at Breighton, with a couple of nights in Lincolnshire to visit East Kirkby, and the BBMF hangar.

Another one of those "really must get around to doing that" jobbies, a bit like "I really must get around to decorating the bedroom"! :D

I missed the connection there, painting the bed room pants...going to visit East Kirkby, and the BBMF hangar excellent.

If it was up to me I would give the missus a paint brush some paint and sandpaper tell her to get on with it then limp out of the house with a couple of acres and head off with me tent. Hey presto after a couple of glorious days at East Kirkby return home to a newly decorated bedroom.....Result

Trouble is the skip would be full of wrecked AA's

Ascot :)

My BBMF magazine arrived this morning - CFBC is right, they've done a marvellous job. It's been interesting to see the LLA mag go from bits of A4 paper years ago, to something so professionally done.

They've also 'moved up a gear' - this one is full of original articles, veterans memories and touches on wreck investigation as well. Wonderful photos, too.

If you're not a member of the LLA , join now ! Never, ever, take the BBMF for granted ; there are legions of government bean counters out there who would just love to axe it !

Just been on the BBMF website and Corgi must do diecasts of all the BBMF's Aircraft it would be criminal if they didn't or at least they could be commissioned by the BBMF themselves. But alas they may struggle to keep the aircraft in the air let alone do diecasts, I'm not sure of the facts I'll have to read up.
Just my two pennies worth, Great site, I'm thinking of joining

As for the rest of the liveries, erm..... No....... Well...... "Tankbuster Hurricane" count? Hmmmm????????

As of the BBMF/LLA club.... Well worthwhile.... :D

Got mine yesterday, that centre picture of the Five Spits in the V Formation taken on Members Day - well I think that's getting framed on going on the Wall.

Magic Stuff, obviously taken by Tail-End Charlie in the Lanc....

Oh yes silly me and to think I missed an Opportunity to Buy one of these sets at one year's Eastbourne Airshow for £50, again silly me.
The Ones I like is the Desert Coloured VB Spit, which hasn't got that bulky Airfilter under the Prop and the Dark Grey Hurricane with the Protruding Wing Cannons. But there are a few more there that do need to have a look at by somebody because they're all fab! :)
Just thought I mention it
