This is the one at Newark.. apparently not owned by the museum just on loan, but can be keep at the museum by the new owner.. would be a real shame to lose this especially as its one that you can get inside and up close to.. CFBC, clear all those Aussie Mossies from your loft and get your bid in!!!

This would be a sad loss if it were moved away from Newark......
A very sad loss......
Right, whos in for this.....?
Donation time..... :) I know Mrs CFBC has all the money to buy it, but I know she won't lend me it either...... :(

Yeah, I was gonna put that on here before in my last posting, but I thought I would get some snide comments.......
It would be a sad loss though...... If it was to move...... Anybody know how much it cost them in the first place?

no I dont know what the set up is.. apparently its not owned by the museum hence the bloke who does own it now deciding to sell it.. hopefully the museum can raise the cash to do a deal with him, but as always we dont know the background so they may've already gone through that.. real shame to move it as it arrived in one piece but obviously would have to leave in bits.. I've already put down for a day off work for next years cockpit day so hope it doesnt move off of site!

Yeah, have to agree with yer.... I was thinking about the Cockpit Day as long as it does not clash with an airshow as I think it did this year or something anyway......
Especially as you said you could SIT IN IT.... :(

yep at least it means it stays at Newark.. dont forget cockpit-fest!!! just wondered in the members of the LLA were consulted before their subs were spent on a Vulcan?!! fien by me as I'm not (yet) a member (shame on me), just its the kinda thing that can cause friction if the members thourght their money was supporting the BBMF ??

Put it this way... I am a member and I did not receive anything to say they were gonna buy it, but I would not hesitate to save such a beast that dwarfs all others at Newark Air Museum..... :D

Could it have been removed by the owner? To remain at Newark after all?
