I was really looking forwards to the T.11 Vampire are we sure that it has been cancelled completly or is it posponed for some reason or another.Thinking if it does appear one in Irish Air Corps markings as preseved in Dublin may be an interesting scheme.

I to am disappointed with the news of this being cancelled as I do have a thing about North Weald based aircraft (Local Airfield) but I have to say the Pre pro pictures did nothing for me as the shape of the nose was all wrong anyway so maybe this is a blessing as it might well have become bin fodder:mad:

Interesting scheme....yes....popular enough to be done? Not if the RAF one wasn't.....

As I've mentioned elsewhere, one of my main collection themes is preserved aircraft so I was really looking forward to this, especially as I have photographed it on several occasions. No I didn't pre-order as I've given up doing that these days - as it appears have many others. I made the point in the thread about the Corgi Catalogue, if it's in there then release it and don't get people's hopes up and then go and cancel it! Annoyed with Cornby...a big fat YES! Especially as they won't answer emails about a missing stand in one of my recent pruchases!

Excellent news! Just hadn't seen it on the "Corgi Release News" thread since all the chat about it being cancelled!

Four of these beauties gave the Vampire it's fangs. I'd love to see an IAC Vampire but failing that I'd settle for a RAF one :D

Nose is a big improvement over the one shown at Elvington.

Thanks for the link DamienB. It's a shame that Corgi still haven't refined their natural metal finish. I'm sure they must be able to source a metal paint with fine pigment particles.

I know Corgi's Vampires have their 'issues', but I'm delighted this one has been un-cancelled (or should that be 'never was cancelled?') Just hope the price isn't too silly as that was obviously a big negative against the earlier releases. (£40.00+ )

We are lucky to have at least two 2 seaters (T.11's or T.55's) flying here in NZ, if you know the right people a 30 minute flight can be arranged - costs about £400 though:eek:

The Vampire has a good history with the RNZAF, here are some details and scroll down for the photos:)

You too, eh? Cornby had better get its act together or it is going to lose THIS collector permanently.:eek::unsure:
