Is it really a diecast model?

Fairey Fulmar would be neat to see done in diecast. I would be wanting a few of those.

I could be wrong DC but it looks very like the east European "Vista" 1/72 plastic model that has more recently been re-released by Revell. Its not a bad rendition altough I have always found the nose a tad unconvincing. I have recently sold two of these as I am off loading my plastic collection although I still have a half made one somewhere! It would made a lovely diecast companion for the Corgi Sea Glad. Sea Hurri., and Swordfish to have one of these in diecast. Like CC I would be wanting more than one.

I had my own doubts, opened the Nuemberg link and scrolled down to the last four pictures, still not sure.
I would get a couple if they are diecast.Last edited by Graham : 6th February 2010 at 21:35. |

double bummer. Figured it was too good to be true.
But since we've got a Gannet there's always hope... ![]() |

A new kit from MPM...SH72196 Fairey Fulmar Mk.II "Civilian Service" 1/72
Certainly looks diecast with a finish like that. Just shows what can be done with plastic. Av8tor ![]() |

If diecast is not viable I hope Corgi/Hornby/Airfix may consider an 'Easy Model' range for stuff like this with a 'matt' finish where applicable, maybe with metal parts etc.
