International Toy Fair Nuernberg 2010

This was a shocker to see this morning one of our members Christian at the Diecast Hanger pub posted pictures from the International Toy Fair Nuernberg 2010 and guess what Franklin Mint is not done making 1:48 scale planes at all.
They even had a Cripes A Mighty P-47D on display there.. . So all this time we were thinking FM was no longer making planes ...wrong they are very much still making them.

There are two F-22s.

Dragon are producing their first new 1/72nd stuff in ages. The Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) from 1975. I've always liked their NASA models so this is a must for me.

I have just moved in to 1/48 so i could get one of two of these, But i still have this felling that FM are poor (proberbly cos i see so many in the MZ window pilled high) am i right ?

From reports I read, I understood that FM/A is not necessarily calling it quits with its warbird line, rather producing special orders in extremely limited numbers. Perhaps the models seen at the International Toy Fair are indeed special ordered and will only be available on a limited / restricted basis?

Hi all, ---Did anyone who saw or heard reliable reports about the Franklin Mint display notice any new repaints on MirageIII's, Phantoms, or Hornets? I noticed in the background of one of the posted photos an apparently modified wildcat tooling that represents an FM-2 in dark blue colors. Any further news or speculation concerning the purpose of displaying these models at this show? Happy collecting, markko
